Join us at Carousel Flowers in Elmhurst for a holiday wreath making class! We will be creating a festive candle ring wreath (approx. 14” diameter) which can be hung on a door or used as a centerpiece. It’s perfect to give as a gift or enjoy in your home this holiday season! This class is limited to 20 people. There is a $55/person registration fee to cover the cost of materials. To register: RSVP to this event and write your name in the comments. The first 20 people to sign up will be confirmed in a post once the number has been reached. We will start a waitlist for anyone else who might be interested in case of cancellations. Confirmed participants must call Carousel directly at 630.834.7039 by Monday, November 28th to submit payment. The registration fee is nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend but have already paid, you are responsible for working with the calendar team to find someone to take your place from the waitlist. We are able to bring wine and snacks.  Please bring something along to share!!

Bring the whole family to York Theatre on Saturday, December 10th for some holiday cheer! EAM and ENNC are joining together to host a morning of family fun at York Theatre in downtown Elmhurst. Enjoy professional photos with Santa Claus and The Grinch, plus movies, treats, and a special craft. There will be something for everyone! -Two professional photo opportunities! Sign up for slots in advance to get your traditional holiday card pic with Santa or grab a fun photo with the Grinch (or both!). They will be on stage in two different theaters. Celebrate the holiday season with your local mom community! Let’s gather on Thursday, December 15th for a party filled with holiday cheer. We will have light bites and drinks available (sign-up to bring some goodies to share below!), and our bartender will be making specialty cocktails to get us in the holiday spirit.  The party will be hosted at our sponsor space in downtown Elmhurst. Those who want to can participate in a cookie exchange, ugly sweater contest, and a white elephant gift exchange.  Feel free to take part in one, all, or none! A $5 cover will help cover our bartending service. Any extras can be shared with the party.  UGLY SWEATER CONTEST: Wear your most outrageous ugly sweater! Vote for your favorite by 9pm by submitting the wearer’s name and we’ll announce a winner at the end of the night.  WHITE ELEPHANT GIFT EXCHANGE:  Each participant brings one wrapped gift to contribute to a common pool. Gifts must be new and not used, between $20-25 in value. Please refrain from religiously-affiliated or kid-focused gifts. Participants will draw numbers to determine what order they will go in (lowest number starts). The first player selects a gift and opens it, and then following players can choose to either pick an unwrapped gift from the pool or steal a previous player's gift. Anyone who gets their gift stolen in this way can do the same - choose a new gift or steal another. Once a gift has been stolen three times, it is no longer in play. No trades allowed *during* the game, but what you do after is up to you!  **PLEASE NOTE** We will not be offering refunds on tickets purchased for this event if the attendee is no longer able to attend. The attendee will be responsible for finding another member to take their ticket or will forfeit the money spent for non-attendance. Thank you for understanding!

Join Lombard Park District’s annual lighting celebration in Lilacia Park! Let's plan to meet up by the entrance at 6pm. Bring the entire family for a night of holiday fun! Charming holiday displays light up Lilacia Park with a magical array of animated light shows, decorated trees, a giant gingerbread house, and much more. Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday in December from 6:00-8:00pm (beginning Sunday, December 4), youngsters can visit with Santa Claus, enjoy a spectacular show with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies, and visit with their favorite Holiday Characters. The Lombard Park District will also be collecting unwrapped and unused toys for donation, so please feel free to bring one if you choose to do so.
