Volunteer Event at Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children 740 Wiley Farm Ct, Schaumburg, United StatesWe are excited to host a hands-on volunteer opportunity (packing individual meals) at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg. Please RSVP followed by a comment of how many will be attending and the ages of child participants. We currently have 10 spots reserved for our group, but this CAN be increased as long as spots for the time slot are available. If you are no longer able to attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible, because they do depend on our volunteers. Minimum age for volunteering is 5 years old. Adult to child ratios for groups is as follows: Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult Grades 7-12: 4 students to 1 adult

Macaron Class with La Petite Bakery
Marion's houseMarion Nora, owner of La Petite Bakery (formerly Cheese and Chocolat), will host a small group French macaron baking class in her home. Participants will learn how to make macaron shells and two fillings (buttercream and ganache). Class is designed to be hands-on and Marion will guide participants through the entire process, from mixing and piping to filling and storing macarons. Each participant will leave with a recipe card for shells and the two fillings, as well as a box of macarons created in class. Cost: $40/per person. **If RSVPing "yes", please comment with your name below. The first 8 members who comment with their names will be confirmed by EAM. Once confirmed, please pay via venmo to @lapetitebakery by May 10. If you have not paid by this date, we will move on to the waitlist. There are no refunds.
