Pregnancy and birth change our bodies in ways we're often not prepared for and many of us wonder if certain symptoms are something we have to learn to live with forever. Join us as Dr. Lea Feghali leads an honest discussion about what actually happens to a woman's body through pregnancy, birth, and the years after. Topics include:• Leaking when you sneeze, laugh, run, or lift• Heaviness, pressure, and what prolapse really means• Pain with intimacy and why it's not something you should have to wait out• Core separation and the back and hip pain that never resolve• What is common, what is treatable, and when to ask for help Please comment your name below the event on the Elmhurst Area Moms Discussion page so we have an accurate headcount for attendance.

We’re kicking off our fall reading with The Mothers by Brit Bennett! Join us at Emily’s house for an evening of connection, snacks, and book discussion as we dive into this thoughtful and beautifully written story. The Mothers follows Nadia Turner, a rebellious teenager in a tight-knit Southern California church community, and explores friendship, love, secrets, and the choices that shape our lives. Told through the voices of the people who surround Nadia, the novel examines motherhood, faith, grief, and the lasting impact of the decisions we make when we’re young. All are welcome, even if you haven't started or finished the book. |
